About Me

I live in Silsden near Keighley with my Husband and our two Daughters. We have been married for four years and have lived in Silsden for six years. Our eldest daughter is 2 years and our newest addition almost 3 months.

In and around Silsden:

Silsden Park, Silsden Beck and the Leeds / Liverpool Canal are no more than a stone’s throw from my home. Silsden is such a peaceful, idyllic area in which the children will explore and learn about nature. Pied Piper Playschool, Aireview Infant School and Hothfield Junior School are less than a five minutes walk from my home with various baby and toddler groups in and around Silsden which we attend on a daily basis.

I have successfully:

ü Registered with Ofsted to provide childcare from my home

ü gained a Child Paediatrics First Aid 3-year qualification and certificate

ü passed the Diploma in Home-based Childcare Unit 1 and gained a certificate

ü passed an Ofsted inspection and have was graded GOOD with Outstanding in other areas.

ü passed an enhanced Criminal Record Bureau Check with certificate

ü hold a current and valid Ofsted Certificate

ü passed Diploma in Home-based Childcare Exam as set out by National Childminding Association Level 2

ü become a Quality Assured Childminder

ü Hold an NVQ Level 3 in Childcare Learning & Development qualification

I attend regular workshops, training courses and refresher programmes to ensure I am kept fully up to date with the latest childcare methods and to further my qualifications and experience within the childminding profession.

I am insured by the National Childminding Association and hold a public liability insurance certificate. I meet all of the compulsory requirements set out to me as a Childminder and was inspected by Ofsted on the 30th July 2009.

As a parent to two, my home is already child friendly and has been installed with various safety features. My home also meets with Fire Services Regulations. I provide the children in my care with a safe, hygienic and stimulating environment.

I work closely with parents to develop a friendly, open and trusting relationship to ensure your child will enjoy their time with me. It is extremely important to me to have a good working relationship between your child and of course you, the parent.

Busy Buzy Bumblebees Childminding provides childcare to parents in Silsden and other surrounding areas such as Steeton, Keighley, Bradley, Skipton, Cross Hills, East Morton, Oakworth, Bingley and within a certain mile radius of BD20, BD21 and BD22.

In 2008 we had a little girl called Jessica and at the beginning of May 2010, our second Daughter, Hollie was born.

Our little girls are very precious to us and we love being parents to our two munchkins!

So why did I decide to become a registered Childminder?

After having my first Daughter Jessica, I noticed my priorities had changed entirely and soon realised I didn't want to return back to work at the end of my maternity leave as initially thought. As a family, we couldn't afford for me to stop working altogether to be a full-time, stay at home Mummy and so I decided to look into becoming a registered childminder instead!

The children I have cared for in the past have so much fun at my setting, we go on lots of outings and have a fantastic time. I can honestly say I've not yet looked back but then again, who would when you do a job like mine?
